CuffleySchool

A foundation school

Who’s Who

At Cuffley we have a large, committed staff of teachers, learning support, administrative and office staff, kitchen staff and cleaners, as well as peripatetic music teachers and specialised coaches, all working closely together to ensure that our school is a safe and happy learning community.

The Headteacher is Mrs Wendy Wing.  She has led Cuffley School since April 2010.  She has over 27 years experience in teaching in a range of schools in Hertfordshire and Enfield.  As well as leading Cuffley, she acts as a consultant Schools Effective Advisor (SEA) supporting other Hertfordshire schools with school improvement, as well as acting as a Professional Partner to new headteachers.   She is committed to system leadership, chairing the local schools’ consortium and  sits on various committees and panels in order to improve outcomes for children across Hertfordshire.  Mrs Wing is our Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Mrs Charlotte Lloyd is our Deputy Headteacher.  She has over 10 years experience teaching in London schools.  She brings specialisms in English and technology and is confident teaching across the key stages. She is a trained Local Authority Moderator.  She is one of our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads.

We have 18 teachers, based in class and in support roles, who range from early career to highly experienced teachers, along with a number of teaching assistants and support staff.  It is a strong and collaborative team.

The school’s senior leadership team is a group made up of senior teachers who have differing roles of responsibility, leading on the school’s priorities for the year. At present the team includes:

Wendy Wing, Headteacher and Designated School Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

Charlotte Lloyd, Deputy Headteacher, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

Tracy Farmer, KS1 and Y3 Lead, Safeguarding Governor

Rachel Evans, Key Stage 2 Lead, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

Andrea Charalambous, Inclusion Lead (Interim Early Years Foundation Stage Lead), Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

Sofia Tozzi, Senior Leader (maternity leave)

Hannah Bedwell, SENCO

Nadine Grainger, School Business Manager, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

We have a team of lunchtime staff, including our cooks and catering assistants and our lunchtime supervisors.  We have three administrative staff who manage the school office, a site manager and a team of cleaners.

In addition, we have various peripatetic music teachers and club providers who offer a range of learning opportunities for our children.

We support student teachers and trainees from local further education providers, as well as hosting School Direct trainees who are embarking on their school-based initial teacher training.  We encourage our staff to be lifelong learners and many undertake additional qualifications.
