How are the school’s resources allocated and matched to children’s Special Educational Need?

We have a small amount of funding, identified in the overall school budget, called the notional special educational needs (SEN) budget. This money is spent on appropriate resources, as well as staffing, such as a trained emotional literacy support assistant (ELSA) and teaching assistants. 
 

Children with Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are banded by the local authority and may attract a small amount of additional funding.
